How to tell if a graphics card is faulty?

14 June 2026 · 3 dk okuma

Graphics card failures most often manifest as colored dots, lines, or blocks (artifacts) in the image. In memory (VRAM) failures, image distortion increases under load.

Using a thermal camera, abnormally overheating areas on the card can be identified, allowing problems in the power supply and memory circuits to be located.
